Ansis Ataols Berzins, a computer
programmer and member of the Riga-based folklore ensemble
Maskackas spelmani,
last week opened a comprehensive Web site devoted to Latvian folklore,
particularly music. folklora.lt also may
well be among the first Latvian Web sites to use
dynamic fonts to control the appearance
of text on the reader's computer monitor. Among nice features on the site is a
guide to traditional Latvian
instruments and a directory of
folklore ensembles, some of which have provided
MP3 sound files for downloading.
