Description: God has given us loud voices and desire to fill the world
with a song, to bear on light a cultural heritage and to eulogize Latgalia and
all Latgalian.
For the first time ensemble has performed of December 21, 1985. We have learnt
only 2 songs... Counting began - wedding, funeral, sowing, fair, calendar
holidays. By one word - where invited, there Rogovkians are acted. So, little by
little, farther steel to go - from Rogovka to Ludza, from Ludza - to nearby
districts, and then Riga is not far. Three times have visited Estonia, two -
Denmark (Landstavne-98).
For these years the ensemble acted 201 times, from them on 14 weddings, 11
funeral, 15 anniversaries and memorable measures, 3 Songs festivals, 4 festivals
of Latgalian TV etc. Since the first day of existence, all our "tricks" are
zealous written.
In repertoir of ensemble basically are songs of Nautreni area. Beside 150
songs are already collected. Unforget about songs on words of our countrymen -
P.Migliņīks, F.Kemps, A.Kūkojs, P.Jurceņš, and about sayings, riddles and
roundelays. Recently we act together with youth dancing collective - train
their folk dances and roundelays. It is pity, that concerts becomes less -
folklore is not more in vogue...
