Description: The folklore group is founded in 1990.3.XII by Elza Abramāne.
From the beginning in the group have participated all wishing - from the
smallest up to the oldest. Since then we have exchanged both the chief and
the structure of the group.
Ilža is developing the skills of ethnographic singing and playing on folk
instruments, learning traditions of our area and writing down folklore.
We have participated in folklore festivals Baltica-94, Baltica-97 and
Baltica-03,
in almost all festivals organized by the Latgalian television (except the year 2000).
We perform on many arrangements
of our district and of our parish. We play accompaniment for dancing
collectives of our district.
A young generation is growing up at our side - a children folklore group
works at Cybla school.
