Description: Ensemble was created on 1 October 1994 under the roof of
the Uzava parish Folk house. The ensemble performs characteristic to Uzava
songs, roundelays and other folklore material - believes, sayings, riddles,
legends. We organize thematic concerts and arrangements dedicated to sea,
hills, work, to the so called "praising of the orphan girl", to beer etc.
As Uzava parish borders with Jurkalne parish, there is much in common in
their respective cultural heritage. Joint actions in Uzava,
Varve,
Jurkalne, Ziras have become
a tradition.
The ensemble participated in Baltica-97, regularly gives concerts
in parish.
