Description: The folklore group Milzkalnieki has been created by
18 March 1996.
Firstly we performed already written down songs, but presently we already have
some collected by ourselves. The narrator Edīte Strada participates in our group.
We act very frequently - about 6 times per month. We are participated in
international folklore festivals in Torun (Poland) and Plunge (Lithuania).
As our task we consider the revival of ancient traditions, searching and
performing songs, which were earlier sung in our area. We try not to refuse
nobody who is inviting us because we are the only folklore group in the district.
Festival in Plunge (Lithuania)
