Description: The folklore group was founded on 1 March 1989, during
the national revival. The first performance was held at the consecration of
the Latvian flag in Varaklani 25.03.1989.
The repertoir we select along our needs. From our grandmothers we
collect songs, roundelays, legends about our native region. Each year we
prepare a program Easter, the Mother's day, Christmas, John's day and other
holidays.
We have performed in our - Madona district, in Rezekne, Jekabpils,
Aluksne districts, in Daugavpils, Ventspils, Tukums. We have participated in
Baltica festivals in Riga. In 1998 we are visited the Anyksciai district of
Lithuania.
The group acts in costumes made by participants themselves.
